A Few Words

I suppose I probably should've said something a while back
Shush if there's anything I've proved it's that I'm a lazy bastard.

Anywho, for anyone who knew me way back, you may or may not have noticed that I've kinda dropped completely off the face of dA. Well the long and short of it is that I've basically moved on. Kinda just lost interest in this place, and school's been keeping me hella busy. I've been studying Computer Science in college for the past 2 and a half years, and I absolutely love it. It's a great feeling to run a program and say "I built that". This is my last semester in the program, and in the second half of the semester I go on an internship, pretty excited for that.

I unfortunately haven't had much time for photography lately, which is a shame, but I still get out and shoot every now and then. Just got back from Costa Rica actually, I took a ton of photos there. I've also got quite a few other hobbies now too, most notably gaming (PC master race). I'm on Steam almost daily, so feel free to hit me up if you feel like it steamcommunity.com/id/Baz135/
Oh also, anyone play Smash? I've gotten really into Project M lately, so much hype.

The other big use of my time comes from the fact that I actually have a social life now, haha. It's nice. All my friends are nerds, of course

I'll never forget all the great, crazy times here, and all the amazing people I've met. Has it really been six years since I joined? Crazy. I practically grew up here, heh. But all things come to an end eventually. Though I do still lurk around occasionally, so you may still find me here and there.

Anywho, enough ramblings about me, what have all you been up to these past few years?

A Few Words

A couple of days back I got rid of my puny old graphics card (also my sound card, wasn't using it heh), the 8500GT with it's pathetic 256MB of DDR2 memory, and replaced it with a behemoth (well, there's a lot more powerful, but this is still pretty damn great) GTX 460, with a gig of GDDR5 memory. AW YEAH
All the games I was previously able to play before are now running at max settings with framerates well into the hundreds, and I can actually play a whole slew of games I couldn't before. ~30 fps in GTA IV. Haha man, that game is poorly optimized.

So my problem of not being able to run games is finally solved!
Now I've gotta find a way to actually get the damn things on my computer...fucking download charges.

In other bad news guess who's not going to the Summer course he registered for? Thank you College for not sending me the critical info I needed and then kicking me out when I didn't do what I didn't know I had to do, really appreciate that.
Eh, at least that meant I was able to watch Nintendo's E3 Conference
That Wii U thing looks pretty darn cool, despite the stupid name. ZOMG HD ZELDA

A Few Words

Birthday was sweet! Got some really neat gifts and had some funtiems

Started out the night before with BinaryCon gifting me Terraria and TinBeast buying me Mirror's Edge on Steam. Then, when my birthday rolled around I hopped onto dAmn for shenanigans. And shenanigans there were, haldron kicked me from every single channel I was in (ADMINBOOSE ). Also Pola-444 sang me Happy Birthday on Skype . After that I went to bed cause it was 2 in the morning   
So then, morning, wake up with nosebleed
Precisely how I wanted to start my Birthday
I spent the day hanging out with some friends, it was great fun. After all that I get back home to find moar presents! $36 from grandparents and this "Ultimate Decision Maker" (basically, a magnetic pendulum magic 8-Ball)  from my parents, who also promised to pay for a new graphics card
I hop back onto teh internetz for moar shenanigans
Start talking with RJDaae who, unsurprisingly, has yet again done something absolutely amazing for my birthday.

And then it was chocolate mousse cake time

I'm 18 now! Hell yeah!
Haven't a clue what I'll be doing for it, but definitely gonna do something. Meet up with friend's and wing it, I guess. We'll figure something out.
